Hi all,

any idea if you can pre heat car, heat seats and steering wheel using the Porsche connect app? My brother has a Tesla and can literally do everything on it?

you can preheat the car if you are lucky enough and all the following are true:

- you manage to connect your PorscheId to the car's PCM
- the car can connect to Porsche's servers
- the 12v battery is not drained as a result of you using the app or setting timers for preheating

Yes, using e mobility features from Porsche Connect. Used it this morning, nicely got rid of the snow from all windows before arrival. But chewed a few % for preparing the car.

Does this feature preheat the battery as well?

Just to add to the OPs q. I did this the other day as left the car outside and frosty. It was amazing, interior toasty warm and all frosted windows completely clear.

you can also decide whether the passenger seat and / or driver's seat should be heated.

Best is to preheat the interior while you are plugged in. That heats also the battery but not as much as when you charge. If you have a predictable departure time, you can set a timer.

Turned a preheat on today, some 30min before the departure (had unexpexted delay before leaving), that consumed 6%!! It was -5C outside and car had spent a night out.

will try to launch preheat 5min prior to the start, let’s see if that’s enough.

Have you found a way to preheat when plugged in so the power is taken from the grid? Does this work once you start preheat with the app or do you have to set it up in the car? With timers etc?

I could not find a way to preheat the main battery alone - but starting climate control through the app warms up the battery too. The most efficient though is through the timer- both interior and main battery are warm at the departure time.

Yup, that can be brutal on consumption. I usually start only 5-10 minutes before departure if not connected to a charger.
