Car picture disappeared from app.

I had a picture of my first Taycan on my app all the time. When I got my second one, it also appeared (Turbo GT Purple). Ive had it like that since I bought the car in mid December. Then suddenly one day the picture was there and the text time it had disappeared and instead there is the outline of a Porsche. Any idea why? The app did not change that day, and the information on the car is still correct including the vin. Any thoughts?

Just reload the picture. The App updating loses the pic.

It is strange that your image has disappeared. I have set mine up with a gallery picture of my actual car. Not sure if this is what you had or the stock image, but I found this in the app recently so I thought I would try it. It is in the garage icon in the top right hand side. Then click on the vehicle and you can edit the image.

I didn't load the pic originally, the app added the pic when I added the car to the app. It's Porsche's pic, not mine.... ?‍

I did. My old car is still there with a picture. he new car used to be there too with a picture, not is there with the outline. Almost as if Porsche deleted the pic from wherever the app takes the pics. I asked the dealer and shockingly they have no idea.....

Very odd. Have you tried uploading the image again?

Thats the thing, I never uploaded pics of my car, this one or the previous one. Porsche automatically supplied the pic as soon as I added the car. My first Taycan the picture is still there (a series of pics from different angles). The new one it was there until about a week ago when it disappeared mid day. I can always upload my own, but with this car when something like that happen, usually something else happened and that is what I am worried about.

I see. So it was the stock image. I used to have that, but I uploaded my own photo from my picture, which I prefer. I assume it is just a glitch. As long as your other settings are still there or you can communicate with the car, then I would think that everything is fine.

And just like that, the image is back on the app. This summarizes the life of the Taycan. Random malfunctions that fix themselves....

Mine wasn't custom, it was the one the app supplies itself. Thats what makes this weird. I get it if I upload a picture and during an upgrade or similar it disappears. But this is the picture the app provides when I add the car's vin. The app itself lost its own picture, THAT is weird to me but so typical of the Taycan life....

Extremely underbaked. I had a 2021 and it was horrible. At least this 2025 has less quirks, but they still abound. Is like the car is still in Beta stage...

One there issue. The same day the cr reappeared on my app, I lost the ability to communicate with the car, the 4G is not working (even tho it has a strong signal), lost Apple Music, podcasts, internet radio, etc., and the app thinks the car is 50 miles away from me cus that was the last time the app communicated with the car. It never ends with Taycan....
