Interesting given mine is booked in for an update related to this …!I took my 22 Taycan 4S in today and was told the update for the drive to park or neutral is coming in two weeks. No update has been released in US for this issue to date according to my SA. I also have the never ending "Your Sirius XM plan has changed" on both displays everyday and sometimes many times in a day. Was told an update will be released for this issue too.
Have you showed him the screenshot of the update applied to my car a few weeks ago? I posted it below again. Wonder if there's a new update coming up somehow?I took my 22 Taycan 4S in today and was told the update for the drive to park or neutral is coming in two weeks. Did they let you take your car back in the interim?I took my 22 Taycan 4S in today and was told the update for the drive to park or neutral is coming in two weeks. I waited an hour to be told nothing we can do now. This is a familiar refrain. They had the car for two weeks initially with no loaner and I demanded it back. Took them most of the time waiting for an engineer from Atlanta to come and hook up diagnostic equipment. It's a software and sensor issue. Welcome to the bleeding edge of Porsche tech.Did they let you take your car back in the interim?
I dropped mine off yesterday for a few issues
- slow tire leak
-uncoordinated recommened tire pressures on door jamb and pcm. Causes the tpms light to not illuminate until 15psi low based on door jamb pressures, but the dash tells me it's actually only 6psi too low.
-neutral/park issue. I provided the tsb number and software update number posted in this thread.
Waited 2 weeks for an appointment for them to tell me their taycan specialist is backed up (3 cars before me) and they won't get to diagnosing my car for 2-3 days (a little annoyed). More annoyed that they gave me a base Macan loaner.
I made my first payment today, and I am very uninterested in allowing them to keep my car for an undetermined amoubt of time while they engineer a fix, especially while I am in much lesser car.
All, I am surprised that Porsche is not taking steps to fix this issue. Is it not leading legal issue? My 2nd week of ownership of Taycan RWD, some minor quirks in computer but otherwise love driving it, but today running around doing errands some very disconcerting things happening, the car twice went into neutral spontaneously while moving, I hit the accelerator and nothing happened and after a few seconds realized I was in neutral. Then later two different times at a light the car went into park spontaneously. The 2nd time I couldn’t put it in drive, the car asked me (by a message on the screen) to put the key in the storage compartment, and then I could put it in drive.
Anyone have this happen? Little quirks I’m ok with but this seemed a little dangerous.
There is supposedly an update to fix this; I'm booked to get this 6/30 (even though I have this only occur once),All, I am surprised that Porsche is not taking steps to fix this issue. Is it not leading legal issue?
OK.If there is no fix for this automatic switching from D to N or P, I am planning to sell my Taycan 4 Cross Turismo (total miles 166)
But maybe there is a fix already? We got the update for this issue….and we haven’t had the issue since.
I was just days away from taking the buy back check for this happening only once. Canceled the buyback and got the software fix. No problems since. If there is no fix for this automatic switching from D to N or P, I am planning to sell my Taycan 4 Cross Turismo (total miles 166)
