I also experienced the car going from D -> N. Noticed the shift as it happened and put it back into D. 600 miles on the odometer and I also saw that I had a notification that Auto Recuperation is not available just before the shift.
I have gotten the "Auto recuperation not available" a few times, only 200 km's on the car. Have not experienced the D to N.

I saw this exactly, though I was in stop and go traffic.

Question: where was your key fob? According to my service advisor, the problem is the car not sensing the key fob, at which time it goes out of D into P.
He said the fob sensor is right behind the cup holder and that the battery might be low in the key fob. Or the fob is too far from the fob sensor.
Key was in my right front pocket. I updated my post to include that fact

I would report this to your service advisor at the Porsche dealership. In my case the key fob was in my left pocket but in your case the key fob was close to the sensor.

Yes, it's on my list with a couple of minor nits

Happened to us for the first time yesterday…

1) 2022 RWD
2) 290 Miles
3) I think the key was in the cup holder (not 100%)
4) Car was also at a complete stop at a light when it shifted to Park

Report this to your dealer. They will ask where the key fob was, and if you're not sure, tell them you don't remember. The more people who report this the more likely it will get fixed sooner rather than later.

Thanks…I did just that. I sent a link in my email to the NHTSA Taycan Complaints….along with the description of what transpired yesterday, and I’m almost certain the keys were in the front cup holder. I have an 8am appointment tomorrow morning to drop off the vehicle and get a loaner, he simply stated he has no idea how long they will need the car, but he is very aware of this issue, no deflection….

I experienced yesterday, here in South Korea.
at very low speed, tried to turn right, suddenly the shift changed to N.

it was second time.
first time, I was at stop light, and it changes to N few times.

I've changed my fob battery this morning and it's been normal.

at 2 events, I was..
- taycan 4s CT.
- about 2500 km total run.
- normal driving mode.
- key in my right pocket.
- one time hold, one time rolling at low speed.
- one time full loaded with 4 people, one time only driver.
- my phone is always on Broddit magsafe clip on center.
- RECUPERATION ON mode.

I guess it's related to recuperation.

Add me to the club. Brand new car, 300miles.

speeds less than 5mph, key fob in front cup holder but had cell phone on top of it. Car started “stuttering” when I looked down it was in neutral.
Will be reporting this to NTSA (as everyone should be) and to my dealer.

Thanks to this forum I was quick on combatting the cars attempt to wreck me.

I experienced this too a few weeks ago:

1. 2022 RWD
2. 6,000 miles, normal mode, regen on
3. Key fob in cup holder
4. Car was at a complete stop and on 'hold' when it shifted from D to Park (or N, can't remember)

This happened a few times on the same day, while traveling to and from the office and waiting for traffic lights. I started fiddling with the car controls and found a function 'automatic parking brake' (I think) which could be turned on and off. Since then I did not encounter this issue anymore (hopefully I am not fooling myself).

I believe that is just engaging the parking/emergency brake when placing the car in park. You can hear the process occurring.
