well after owning black, white, silver and blue (BMW-M-Blue) cars in the past and mostly 'a version of black'. I have always thought that 'red' and 'yellow' are just begging for attention/tickets and those that just want to 'look at me'.
I can now say I am a 'convert' after reading all 13 pages of this post. This color 'carmine red' is simply emotional.....I don't quite know how else to explain it. It is not 'Ferrari-red' and not obnoxious! It is deep, lush and warming to my soul.
This is one of my favorite posts ever! My favorite color is red, always has been. About 10 years ago, I was shopping for a 997.2 Carrera S. My local dealer had a GT Silver spec'd almost exactly like the way I would have spec'd, except for the color. Out of haste, I decided to take the one the dealer had. I never felt emotionally connected to the car the way I should have. That's not to say that I didn't love it, or even feel connected to it...I did. But it was never in the way that I SHOULD have. I got rid of it. I flirted with Mamba Green a bit for the Taycan but I realized I'd be setting myself up all over again. I will be getting Carmine Red when the 2022 allocations come out. Now the only decision is 4S or Turbo! I'm currently in the state of justifying why the Turbo is a smarter financial decision  :CWL:.

Incidentally, @TycanNewHampshire, I was up your neck of the woods (well, Stowe, so close enough) on vacation and driving my family around in our Buick Enclave. All I could think about on every road was, "this trip is going to be that much more fun when I come back in the Taycan". So pretty, so many fun twisties. Also solidified the pano roof on my spec so that I can mount roof rails.

I clearly did that to see how many would catch it ;) When it was toggling back and forth I wanted the carbon pieces back on, but it was defaulting to silver, so I went 'gloss black'. I will ensue the CF bits are on there for the final 'lock'.

I appreciate the positive comments on the red/non-pano roof. However, I actually want the pano roof and just could not get the configuator to show that as the option that I wanted. I like the red-black contract of the glass roof and would not go wit the non-pano in final build. Other than that, I think it is almost a 'lock', except for wheels.

I would love to order the delivery wheels to be the 20" Techquipment Winter Wheel design Wheel (Black), shoe'd with Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10 EV-Studded in the vehicle order. Than purchase a set of Vossen S17-04 in (22x10 and 22x12) or Vossen EVO-5R (22x9 and 22x10.5) shoe'd with Michelin Pilot Super Sport PS2 or others like Super Sport Cup / Cup 2. Then I have my winter wheels with the order and purchase the summer tires and rims separately.

Morning Team. My Porsche dealer told me this week I managed to snag a December build. I was expecting June with the semiconductor shortage. Obviously delighted. I went minimalist with the body work as I wanted as much carmine red real estate as possible. Same for inside. There's a hell theme going on which resonates with my love of all things heavy metal. Here's my build. https://cc.porsche.com/icc/ccCall.d.../modelstart/all/default.ashx&webcode=PNCAUYI1

Hi - First post here.

Does anyone have the Cross Turismo in Carmine Red by any chance? I have mine spec'd in this colour and my build locks in a few days. Would love to see any CT pics in this awesome colour!

Huge thanks,

Jules

Hi All,

I’ve put in my order for my Taycan Carmine Red 4s and having a little regret bc I haven’t seen it in real life and the pictures of the color are so different. I know it will likely be this way in different lighting or camera exposure, but this is the stuff I’m seeing:

Porsche Taycan CARMINE RED Taycan Club 98DC9919-5B5C-4357-9B8B-35A1C9888A7B
Porsche Taycan CARMINE RED Taycan Club A3254AD4-14B5-4DC1-8FC7-C4869068B888

Porsche Taycan CARMINE RED Taycan Club 94F21576-81D5-4DE4-A8C0-D0A25BA3E5CB
Porsche Taycan CARMINE RED Taycan Club 1300ED31-E7A8-42B6-811A-00AF2EEAF264

The first and last pics are what I hope it looks like which is brighter red, but the other ones seem so dark like a maroon color… similar to a red Tesla color which I hate. Can someone tell me what is likely the best representation of Carmine Red on a Taycan?

Any help or pics would be greatly appreciated!

This color is super hard to get right with a camera, and then it looks different on every computer screen.

Taken with Samsung Galaxy phone:
https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/carmine-red-taycan-club.723/post-29281

The color in this Porsche clip looks also good:
https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/carmine-red-taycan-club.723/post-12976

But the only way to really see it, is to go to a Porsche dealer and ask to show you any car in this color on their lot. My dealer at the time had a 911. :involve:

Thanks for sharing! I like your pictures you took of it. I assume it just enhances the color on nice sunny days. I will try to see if I can go to the dealer to get a better idea of how it looks.

As many of the Taycan colors are it is somewhat of a chameleon depending on the lighting. Images taken with an iPhone.
First two images are at dusk in the winter.
Others are from last fall during the day.
Next to last three inside an aircraft hangar. LED lights, red looks quite dark.
Last three taken with an iPad just now direct sunlight.
I have been happy with the color looks much darker at night or indoors.

Wow, these pics look great. Thank you for sharing them!! I appreciate you providing different lighting so I can contrast and compare. It must be nice to drive on a sunny day too!

Congratulations gus!
Quick observation on satan’s passenger chariot seat of death in the second video. I noticed the left side seat bolster leather is slightly wrinkled or has a crease in it. Apologies for pointing this out.

This has been discussed in previous threads and appears to happen when mechanics or people at the dealership have sat on the bolster.
From the video cannot tell how wrinkled this is but you may want to address it with your dealer.

This thread shows red seat leather similar to yours.
