Hey all,

I have been following this forum daily for the last 6 months.

Very Helpful. Thank you all for contributing. I figured I would too. Here's a pic of Mission E wheels with all the different colored calipers (except Red which I couldn't find).

Cheers,

Nai

Had film on the front end and ceramic on the rest of the car plus rims and brake calipers
IR film on the windows
Now i just wish I could drive it.
In isolation away from home

Thanks. Sad you can't get the car! I have a carrara white Turbo on order, and was thinking of doing something similar. So no ceramic on top of the film? And why the window film? Doesn't your car already have the UV resistant windows? Did you want more tinting?

Yes ceramic on the film and I wanted the driver and passenger side window to be darker

Latest status:
My 4S is in the shop for PPF application and some minor detailing before my StormTrooper is ready.

Guess this is may be a world first Taycan with red logo, which complements the red logos on frontdoors.

More images in the weeks to come....

Finally I have some pictures of my new Taycan Turbo. I have not specified the car myself as it was one for the showroom of my dealer. The specification is quite close to what I would have chosen, some features included that I would not have specified and some not there that I had on my wishlist. It has lots of space compared to my DB9 and good trunk space. And it is a much larger car than I anticipated. I needed to rearrange some ordinary bikes in order to fit Taycan in my garage.

I have only had time to drive the car for some short trip as yet after being let out from the lockdown due to the virus. But over the weekend I get quite some more opportunities for a longer drive!

And there still is a lot of settings and controls I need to find and get used to. Charging with the Porsche Mobile Charger Connect worked well, but it is a huge piece and on one phase only delivered just over 2kW. I think I will find a smaller charger for granny charging on longer trips. But there was no problems to set charge level to 85% as recommended.

Some initial reflections. As so many others have said it drives like a true Porsche, the comfort levels are fantastic and the air suspension takes on the road surface in its stride. And the car is fast. Really really powerful. I have not had a chance to fully press the accelerator to the metal as yet, but overtaking from 70 km/h I was soon way over the legal speed limit of 130 km/h. I am used to powerful fast cars, but still this completely surprised me,

We live in quite a hilly area about 550 meters above sea level. One feature I would have liked Is the possibility to switch on a stronger recuperation when going downhill. Not One Pedal driving like a lot of other EV’s but more like a manual ICE car where you can shift down a cog or two and not constantly dab the brake pedal. It feels more like driving an automatic and speeds up downhill.

Setting up the ventilation was a bit more complicated and I need some more training on that. My car has the thermo windows etc and I have not felt any problems with a stable temperature even with the sun from different directions. The glass also means that the car is very quite.

So here is hoping for many miles with many smiles!

Now some pictures.
