Charging Error - won’t charge past 65 or 70%

Well here we go. Car won’t charge past 65 or 70% and have to unplug and plug several times. I noticed the charging cable is super hot. It’s CPO you’d figure they would’ve seen this and fixed it. Ridiculous!

Well here we go. Car won’t charge past 65 or 70% and have to unplug and plug several times. I noticed the charging cable is super hot. It’s CPO you’d figure they would’ve seen this and fixed it. Ridiculous!

Reduce your current setting on the PMCC or PMC+ and the temperature will come down. If you set it at 30A instead of 40A you will take longer to charge, but the temperatures will be more modest and not cause the charging to stop.

UPDATE - There are lots of good alternatives to the PMCC if you have <$600 to spend. See this thread.

Do yourself a favor and buy another brand of EVSE and never think about this issue again.

I have wallbox 48+

it errors out not by temp, but most of times is because the charger wont sync back with the car for the optimized charging.
At 60% and 75% car stops to recalculate amount of kw to draw. Remember the closer to 85% the slower it charges ( when you have a timer ) for the car to be ready.

if you just use a profile with a min charge of 85% and no timer the error goes away.
