EDIT: Build completed with photos.
Hi all, what do you think about my Taycan RWD build before I lock everything down?
* Colour: Plastic effect Lego white
* Lego Exclusiv red brake callipers
* Big 62.3mm blacked out rims (from Porsche 911 GT3)
* Signature x4 pattern LED lights (lit using Powered Up lights)
* Steel/plastic Exclusiv Red shocks, lowered to the max
* Panoramic Roof
* Opening doors, bonnet and boot.
* "Frunk"
* Lightstrip in red
* Entire car made from lightweight plastic
* Deletion of model designation
* Stormtrooper look with signature tears
To Do:
*Power steering (Lego Power Functions servo motor)
* Dual Buwizz electric motors with bluetooth remote control
* Dual electric 9V Li-On batteries
* Remote control front/rear lights
* Plastic interior in contrasting colours (red / black with deep red accents)
* Two speed drivetrain
* 2-way adjustable bucket seats without memory function, 2+1 in rear
* Foldable wing mirrors, dashboard, console
Seriously, so far I've designed the chassis and shell. Wanted to get the basic sizing / look right so I know what space I have to play with inside to put in the motors/steering/batteries. The below are photorealistic renders of the design. I'll order the parts soon and get building, and will no doubt have to tweak it. It will take months to complete but I'll update in here as I go.
For those interested, I've done this using BrickLink Studio. I've essentially used Lego's Porsche 911 GT3 RS as a basic template (following the instructions and building within Studio), where I've had to adapt it heavily by lengthening the wheelbase, redesigned front/back-end bodywork, added rear doors, added a boot, added Taycan lights and rear full light strip. I will model it like my own RWD Taycan, which has the contrasting red/black interior. My lego model has red callipers though, the real thing only has black but I think the red looks better!
Enjoy
