How much did you pay for the full body coverage PPF if you don't mind me asking?
Car looks stunning!

Wow, this seems cheap! What did you mean by "Wrapped edge bulk instal"? Are there other ways to install it? Thanks again!

Meaning bulk film was used to wrap over edges of panels vs. pre-cut kits from a plotter that can leave edges exposed and potentially cause lifting.

This didn’t mean the panels had to be disassembled for the PPF to be installed, right?

For those of you who had PPF installed, which of the following had to be removed/disassembled:

  • Porsche badge on hood
  • Badging on vehicle
  • Door handles
  • Door panels
  • Electric charge port cover
  • Side mirrors
  • Front spoiler lip
  • Rear spoiler
  • Rear diffuser

I am considering a full PPF job, but really trying to see how involved the disassembly will be. I am particularly concerned about the charge port cover, since that is something of an unusual piece. Thanks in advance!

Badge and charge port covers for full front end. PM me if you want the name of the installer I used in NY.

I'm scheduled for a full PPF after I take delivery, hopefully early next week.

I spoke with several installers before finding one I'm comfortable with and I asked him specifically to NOT remove side mirrors, door handles and other mechanically or electronically complicated items. Some of the installers I spoke with insisted that to do a “seamless” job, they would remove those items, which in all honesty and despite their desire to do a great PPF application, makes me highly uncomfortable. I've read in this forum that others have experienced issues after the various parts removed have been put back into place. Also, should something go wrong with one of those re-installed components, is that covered under the warranty? I don't want to risk it.

I told the installer that's doing my PPF that I can live with minor seams showing in small places.

For those that have had PPF, did they end up carving out (or cutting around) the sensors and the tow-hook cover? I had mine PPF'd and they are not carved out and therefore you see "white" or hazy clear in the gap between the sensor and the bumper.
