Hi,
I’m really in panic now. I have ordered a taycan stockmodel in the color crayon. I doubted very long with volcano and dolomite silver, which are safer choices.
I have always had black cars so a lighter color is exciting, but today I saw a panamera in crayon in the sun and I was dissapointed.

what to do? Keep this order? Or volcano or dolomite? Will I faster get tired of crayon then with another color?

We bought Volcano RWD. Fabulous color. Holds dirt well and easy to clean especially with the PFF front end and ceramic coating.

Crayon for sure! I have seen a few of them in this colour with various alloy options and they all look stunning. I am a big fan of grey cars and whilst Volcano looks good, it doesn’t really show the car as well as Crayon. Dolomite is easy to maintain but would not be my first choice.

Agree completely and personally think this color shows the lines of the car exceptionally well - especially say in sunset conditions. Have had Mineral Grey metallic on my M4 l(not a million miles from the Volcano Grey) for last 6 of years and have def not grown tired of the look (you'd think I'd want a change but this is still the best available option for me without going to specialist colors) :)

I'm in the same boat. Been decided on Jet Black for weeks with Mission E wheel, and now am debating Dolomite. Freeze date about a week away. Going to be a daily driver. Just sold a Basalt car and love black, but with black interior it's going to be a lot of black. Not really worried about keeping it clean, more how much black it will be.

I agree with others, for whatever reason black hides some of the lines of the Taycan, so think the lighter colors bring out the shape more. I was set on crayon, then saw neptune blue and went for that however!

There are lots of great colours for the Taycan. So there might not be a right and wrong answer for the OP.
I went Ice Grey, but also love Red and Neptune Blue, Cherry and Green.

But after many hours deliberating, I agree with what others say and that lighter colours show the lines better.

I also didn't want a dark grey car, as just about every car on our road is some shade of it.
Same at office car park. Majority of cars are dark grey.

I admit that the Taycan's color palette is very daring and takes some getting used to for conservative Porsche fans. Hardly anything remains of the old, beautiful colors. Once you've gotten used to it, you can get along well with it, especially with the Taycan, because it's a completely new model. The jump from black to light is very daring, it didn't make me happy, especially because the deep gloss is missing. Black and dark colors have a mirror effect and I personally miss that with light colors. These often look dull. At first glance, it's OK, but it just looks boring to me personally over the long term.

Go volcano, you won't be disappointed. Dolomite is a great second choice. Crayon is not to all tastes but has become "fashionable".
