I've been doing quite a lot of highway trips in the last 3 months, charging mainly at Ionity chargers. Most of the time from about 10/15% to 80/85% at freezing temp.

it took me 12h30 for 1732kWh, so 140kW on average, with a record of 62kWh in 19mn (almost 200kW) to re-fill 75% of the battery.

More than autonomy (and a few more or less mi/km), charging speed was the key factor that made me choose that car over other EV or ICE vehicles. And I don't regret it !

Yes charging speed is very important for long distance trips indeed. twenty minutes charging is oké and time passes quickly. Fourty minutes is a hole other pair of sleeves.

And the Taycan also maintains range relatively well at higher speed and lower temperatures compared to others.

I was playing around a bit planning a 1000 km trip in ABRP. The only car that was really faster was a Tesla model S long range. EQS was about the same as the Taycan because of longer charging times even with a much longer range.
