High end dealerships are no better than any other dealer, same shoddy and quick work will be done. Don’t go in and let them treat you as though you are being “high maintenance” just because you are a woman. Coming from another woman on the forums, go in confident and be matter of fact. I have never let a dealer walk all over me, and they do try, I generally know more than all the men in the place about the vehicle I am looking at. Please keep this post updated and if you aren’t satisfied with the fix, go to the Sales manager and higher.
Totally agree, I know more about my car than my sales rep and half if not all the men there. I will post photos of my revamped car

This is completely unacceptable. So glad to hear they are taking ownership of it and doing the right thing.

Just wanted to say that this thread is one of many reasons why I love this forum. So much support on here.

The Taycan is my first high-end car, first custom order, and even talking to the dealer was daunting initially. This forum helped me so much with deciding what to get, ask for, and since it has arrived. So thankful for it.

DO NOT let the dealership do the ceramic coating. Find a reputable shop and have that done yourself. Personally, I wouldn’t even let them work on the scratches. I’d just have them fix the dents and then I would find a good detail shop to fix the scratches and any other paint imperfections.

thanks, I had no idea I can’t rely on the dealer for these things. Have you had a bad experience?

It’s not that you can’t trust them, it’s that most aren’t specialists in paint correction so what you get is pretty much the same as the Toyota dealer next door for a Camry, a quick polish and wax that fills the swirls so it appears smooth but in short order the swirls and paint imperfections are back.

However, most Porsche owners aren’t part of the 95% who basically could care less about perfect paint as long as water beads up and the car looks shiny. Because of that many have relationships with local detailing shops that do specialize in making the finish as perfect as possible and protecting that over the long term. That service, however, does not come for free. You may be able to negotiate a discounted cost by asking them to sub contract the work out and asking you to simply pay a portion of the added cost.

Given the glaring oversight of these dents during the dealer's prepping of your vehicle, I'd be extremely hesitant to rely on their ability to follow through with these corrective measures in a satisfactory manner.

I would get estimates from reputable detailing shops for dent and paint repair/correction (you may want to tap forum members for local shop recommendations) and request that your dealer reimburse you for said amount. Speaking from experience, I agree with most of the respondents that the corrective work is better left to shops specializing in these issues.

Given that wings are relatively simple bolt on components I would be pushing for two new wings to be painted and installed.

The fact the dents go right across the crease on the top of the wing mean it’s going to be practically impossible to recover them to as new with a smart repair.

Of course this option only works if you can afford to live without the car for a little while but it’s definitely the right way to go about fixing it.

Find a good detailer close to your dealer and ask the detailer to use them to do the paint correction and ideally free ceramic.
Alternatively ask the dealer which specialist detailer they will be getting in to do it and tell them you don't want it done by their on house vehicle prep guys
