I'm rethinking my GT steering wheel option. I don't think my order is locked yet. What changes are made with this option? In U.S. it's a $280 option and only changes the wheel. Thanks.

One additional detail... In the U.S. the $280 option also changes it from Race-Tex to leather. I will like that.

The heated option is quite nice and worth it, IMHO. Also in general the leather GT steering wheel is amazing and damn near perfection.

Yes. The Race-Tex wheel is a pain to keep clean & doesn't wear great unless you really take care of it. Who needs that headache?

Absolutely agree. I have had bad wear on my alcantara steering wheels and they just don't feel as good as the leather in the Taycan. This wheel is the best I've seen in any car. Definitely go for the heat - the button is hidden in the bottom spoke - very cool.

I also recommend adding the Trim in Matte Carbon Fiber option under "Interior Carbon Fiber" especially if you didn't add any other carbon fiber interior appointments. It's a nice addition.

So what exactly is the difference between the regular steering wheel and the GT sport steering wheel?
I'm trying to decide whether the sport chrono package is worth it. The button to switch drive modes alone seems expensive when trying to control budget. I've read you can create a short cut to change drive modes on the touch pad.

Worth it to me - thicker grips are a must IMO. I drove a loaner 4S for a while without chrono/GT wheel and did not care for it.

In the near future I'm having Exclusive Option make me a deviated stitching wheel with their even more increased thickness.
