Haha I guess I'm one of the few that likes it. I think it does a good job of communicating the sound/speed relationship by adding new tones at increased speed. I have it on every time.

I thought you could add it from the Porsche Connect.

I believe there are extra speaker drivers involved certainly outside, maybe inside too, and the hardware to drive them so it can't be done by software update.
I wouldn't spec it if it was a no cost option.

There is a speaker under the rear bumper that I thought was for the pedestrian warning and the sport sound. A guy on the FB Taycan forums has been doing aftermarket testing of louder add on speakers. I was thinking the sound was an option as the speaker was there due to the pedestrian warning system, but I could be totally wrong!

um honstly - unless you’re being sarcastic - the sports sound will NOT be missed.

It's not for everyone but I enjoy Sport Sound and I would miss it. For the same reason people enjoy dynamic exhaust notes during spirited driving, it adds to the experience IMO.

Also, the kids love it ?

Agree here as well. I don't understand how it is any different from people electing tune exhausts for sonic purposes in ICE vehicles. Plus, people can actually hear the car coming up, which is handy in parking lots.

I plan to spec it in my upcoming build. Sure, I may get tired of it, but I do love it on my test drives and think it adds a cool factor for passengers/neighbors. Would kick myself if I didn't get it I think. .

Plus, doesn't it have some potential for future upgraded sounds?

It’s 500 € if you select it, and it’s about 1700 if you want to install later…

In France it can be added later for 500 . You can go check on website

I bet your neighbors would be more impressed with the quietness of the car, I believe that at slow speeds the car emits noise regardless

Apparently it does not include fitting on French website as it does on the UK site.
