EA Signet chargers - fluctuating charge rates and 350 kw chargers derated to 50 kw

This is interesting.

When I went out to Vegas last week from Denver I used these EA Signet units in Salina, UT and did not have any issues on the way out or the way back. I had initially charging speeds in excess of 250kW both times, and both of my charging sessions were less than 20 minutes to load 50kWh to 60kWh into the battery pack.

I guess we will find out if this is an actual "thing" if Signet or EA bother to reply to his inquiry.

I didn't note the hardware but it's the exact same symptoms. I'm glad it's not just me or my car I suppose.

Experienced surging - repeating fluctuations - between 180kw and 70kw for first 10 minutes from '350 kw' Signet dispenser at EA site in Ohio this week. After that, rate of charge stabilized.
This surging happened at only this one of the 8 EA site charging stops on my road trips this month.

The same surging happens to me. It has been happening both before and after the high voltage CU update.

On my Taycan this happens in the midrange of the charge. I don’t have exact numbers, but low state of charge is normal as is high. I have noticed it in the 40-65% range. I have video.

I have had to use EA recently and in 3 out of the 5 cases I could get to 350kwh I had this exact issue. Interesting
