Electrical Failure of Porsche Taycan 2024

My 2024 Porsche Taycan with only 1326 miles completely STOPPED and ceased without any warning while driving on a busy street.
I was only able to get the car to glide to the side of the crowded roadway. I contacted Porsche roadside service which took them just short of 5 hours to get a flatbed tow truck to the dead vehicle which was partially blocking traffic since I had NO warning of this impending situation.

The vehicle has been at Porsche repair and still no word what made the brand new all Electric Porsche Taycan fail. This makes me very leery to trust this car again. To have this happen for an elder woman is very Scary at best.

This is a safety problem. Report it to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The number of battery failures and problems on this Forum, is starting to be very concerning. seems no longer to just happen to earliest cars like 2020 either.

Then also linked to a recall in Germany? Why only Germany?

Porsche have a real problem on their hands now.

Yes they do. My 2002 Taycan was off the road with the battery failure red ring on the dash for 4.5 months, had it back for 5 weeks and same problem has occurred again !! So for a 17 month old car it has been off the road for nearly 5 months !! Not happy at all !! Porsche finance and Porsche GB really slow at responding to my demands for my rentals back also !! Not what you expect from a premium manufacturer !!!

Absolutely not what I had expected from Porsche. I have an 996 from 1999, and that has been brilliant. No major issues, and only off road for upgrades and normal service.

Taycan however with two faults like that in the same time, I would try to get them to change the car for a new one. I have also had the battery repaired with two new modules. It is a huge disappointment that so much of this happens.

I had the same issue on a motorway (freeway) I pulled over, switched it off and on again and it came back to life, it sounds like your issue is more severe

Yes I tried the same and didn’t work. The dealership has had it for almost a week and they can’t do anything to get it started again.

Porsche has known about this issues for 4 years and continues to sell these cars even if they are major road and life hazards to the owners. It is unacceptable and unconscionable to continue to do so !!!

The repair at the Porsche dealership has now told me that my 3 month old Porsche Taycan with only 1326 mikes battery has completely died. Porsche has known about this issue since 2020 and still has not adequately addressed it.
