A couple of weeks ago. It moved fast from production to emden

This may be a stupid question, but why does the car need a Lithium 12V battery? Why can’t it use a standard one? Even if only as a temporary measure? There must be a good reason, but I wonder what it is?

I am quite sure size, weight and lack of acid are three good reasons not to go with traditional 12v batteries.

Anyone any recent updates on deliveries leaving Emden for the UK? (Grimsby)

My car was flagged as "production complete" last week and changed to "Your vehicle has been produced" on My Porsche. It was due to arrive at Emden last Friday, although I want to give it another couple of days before I hassle my SA again

Has anyone got any recent shipping updates on cars destined to the UK actually leaving Emden?

Check on Port of Emden Vessels Finder that will show the info hope that helps

No, still at docks waiting for a battery.

The frustrating thing is that my dealer either has no knowledge of how long it will be sat there waiting or won't tell me. I've heard rumours of an 8 weeks delay for nearly all July builds (except for the few lucky builds that used the last few 12v batteries).

I genuinely don't know how I feel about my car sitting in a dockyard for two months. Feels somewhat inappropriate. Cars should "sit" for two months really.

Exciting! I got the "head on" shot before my car disappeared from My Porsche. No-one seems to know how to fix it.

Oh dear hopefully they get that fixed soon, I was refreshing at least three times a day waiting for the production images to show.

Yeah, it's really annoying. Please post immediately if your status changes to anything useful! I suspect we're in the same hold / will be on the same ship

Well not great news at all, got an updated tracking print out today and expected delivery is now 25/11/2022! Original expected delivery was 29/07/2022. According to the schedule it’s going to sit at Emden port for 4 months having completed it’s build on 14/07/2022.

Hopefully it arrives before Xmas!
