2) looks like Tiffany's blue - which my wife would like
3) love how the adapter is plug and play, where the PMCC takes a few seconds longer and a screw to undo. The 5-15P adapter also makes the cord longer, which is nice.

I'd probably buy it for the wife if we already didn't have an extra PMCC.

Using the mode from the picture above, how does the charger know it's plugged into a 5-15 socket? Looks like it's just an extension cord with a 5-15P on one end, and 14-50R on the other. How does the EVSE know not to pull 40A?
