The "issue" isn't a car issue - it's a "People who don't understand how their car works" issue.
The answer to your question is right there in one of your quoted threads:
By checking your app frequently, you are taking your car out of deep sleep and thus are not conserving the battery while parked.
Stop opening the app to check on the car, and you'll see the drain drop to near-zero.
