I bought my 2021 4S new 2.5 years ago, and I never intended to take it on long trips. I was more interested in a cool looking high performance auto to replace my 911. My Taycan came with all the cool styling options and 21 inch Mission E wheels. It has the sport design package which adds the aggressive looking go fast body accents. I found out , on this trip, looking cool comes with a significant range cost. Driving aggressively around town I have consistently got 240-250 miles on a full charge. I rarely charge to 100%.. Charging to 85% I would get a range of 215 miles. After my first stop to charge, on my 800 mile trip, I started to notice my range at 85% started dropping. By the end of my trip, my range now at 100% is 215miles. I’ve lost 30 to 35 miles total range with my performance plus battery. I drove consistently 75-80 mph using range mode with the AC on due to 100 degree temps in the desert. I also used Inno Drive and cruise control for driver fatigue. I can only assume that all the cool body accents and Mission E wheels impact range a lot at higher speeds. Now that my trip is over maybe my range will recover due to the lower average speeds I will be driving in town looking cool!

I rely less/little on what the guess-o-meter shows as estimated range, and more on miles/kwh consumption. Your trip shows 3.0 miles per kwh, which is good, in my opinion.

Edit: performance battery net 83-86 kwh X 3 miles/kwh = 249 to 258 miles (400 - 415 km) of consumption based range.
Be Happy! :like:

215 miles highway range at that speed is perfectly normal on 21 inch wheels and AC on. I don’t think anyone will do better. Porsche advertises 225 miles highway range.

if you slow down to between 70-75 mph you will get better range and only lose a few minutes of speed. I will get 3.2 to 3.5 per kwh.

in addition to speed, topography can work against you as will headwinds and wet roads.

I've found that A/C Eco with the ventilated seats on one is the best way to preserve highway range at 75-80. We get about 240miles at 85% in that setting. Turn off the A/C totally and it's 260miles at 85%. RWD Performance Plus battery. We've done several long trips Boston-NYC and Boston-Philly and only stop once each way.

I have a 2023 GTS and we’ve taken three trips up and down California. Our range consistently reads about 220 mi at 95% charge. On level highways at 74 mph we record ~34 kW/100 mi. Talking with a BMW owner (big SUV), he reported a usable 300 mi range. I don’t understand why the Taycan with a 93.5 kWhr battery has so little range. Everything else about the car is great, trips are a little exasperating. Oh the problems of…

sacrificing comfort for range is not part of my playbook. there is no way that the car is drivable in Florida without the AC being on

Living in the Phoenix area AC is on 9 months a year. I’ll give up range for that! When driving in town I precool almost every time I drive. Driving 75 to 80mph I think is my biggest range killer. But for me I just don’t have the patience to drive slower than the flow of traffic on the interstate. But it is nice to know you can stretch the range by adjusting your speed and comfort when you get yourself in a jam because of range!

when driving around locally know that I won't come close to running of of range I don't concern myself with speed or anything else that uses range faster.
only when road tripping am I taking steps to limit excess battery drain from speed, heat or anything else.
