Got Hit In the Parking Lot

Someone hit the bottoms valance and scuffed a little above it (thank god it was just that) with their tow hitch. How much do you think it’ll cost to fix? Do I just replace it? The person gave me their info and asked to call before going through insurance.

I concur with TDinDC. Take it to the dealer and have them determine the extent of damage incurred behind the valence, if any. Since the damages will be covered by the other party's insurance, I would consider having the valence replaced rather than repaired.

The last place to go is a "stealer". Go to an independent Certified Porsche Collision Center.

If it’s just a scuff (no dents or impressions), you could probably make it visually a lot better with a quick clean and some trim restorer (back to black.etc).

Dealers don’t do bodywork. They should be able to provide a recommendation though.

One of my Porsche dealers does. If that is a choice, I definitely would go OEM under the circumstances

There's no way it's cheaper to repair that than it is to replace it. OEM valance on a 4S is like $350 at Suncoast. The most expensive aspect of all this would be a respray of the scuffed part, which hopefully you can avoid. Well also the labor to remove and replace the valence.

Unfortunately there’s a dent not noticeable from a distance but enough that it’ll irk me everytime I walk past it haha

I got tagged in a parking lot about 6 weeks ago. No note left. I took it to the dealer for advise and they told me to take it to a body shop. I ordered the new parts and scheduled some bumper repair with body shop (8 weeks out). Looked very minor but all told it will be about $2k. Makes you want to puke

Aw man, people are honestly terrible, mistakes happen, leave a note and have some accountability.
Glad it doesn’t look too bad, I imagine it’s more of something the owner would notice more than anyone else haha. Good luck on the repair hope it looks like it came straight out of the factory. Btw awesome color and rims, love it with the red calipers
