Nope, no further ahead with my GTS ST order... (I bet the title got a few regulars' pulses going though ).

But I have received an email today noting I can now order a personalised chronograph watch with over 6 million combinations available.

I'm guessing ordering one of these won't be subject to being left completely in the dark for 8mths over the likelihood of ever getting a watch....

Haha! you did have me going indeed. But yes, I saw that on the US configurator too... the option to "build" a Porsche Design wrist watch. Gotta admit, I'm very tempted since it would match well with the PD clock I optioned on my GTS to replace the standard Sports Chrono dash wart. I'm not a watch person though, and likely wouldn't wear it much, so could be a waste of $6k+ and it's not exactly an investment like a collectors' watch like a Rolex or Patek Philippe. I barely wear my Apple Watch lol.

I'm not even receiving their marketing spam and absurdly, that upsets me.

Rest assured you will have to wait for a personalised chronograph watch allocation. It will turn up 18 months later with one of the dials missing, citing "component shortages".

They will retrofit it, though.

Remember these chronos work on Porsche time and not regular time - so always expect to be late should you make an investment!

They'll say they will at collection but six months later will register the domain "www.claimforyourmisinghourhandonyourwatch.com"
