Greyed out preheat icon on myporsche app

Any clues?

Already tried to logout/in of the app, re-installed the app, did the 2 fingers pcm reboot

My son offered me this vanity plate. So just used the plate as my car’s name in the application….
Interestingly enough, I had a few cops asking why the plate? Female cops usually figure it out better.
Remember that I live in a French speaking province/state…. Therefore not that usual…. But my fellow colleagues do!

Does preheat work in the car when you press the button on the console charging screen? If so then you have an app problem. If not then a car system/hardware problem.
Go into PCM...AC....tab precool/heat. There should be a line for precool/heat. If the line for precool/heat is OFF and to the right of that is "precool/heat: system error", then you may have a heating system failure.
Does cabin heat work when you turn on the car and raise the temperature setting?

i had similar type issues with hooking up to the car with the app. Timers wouldn't work, nor would preheating. Some missing icons etc. Anyway it was after app software update. I deleted the app and downloaded it again and all was sorted.

I'd like to clearly understand:
You have the precool/preheat "system error" message,
you cannot turn on preheat at all, including from the console charging display in the car,
but you still get heat in the car when you raise the temperature setting?

I ask because most of us who have seen the precool/preheat error message also had no heat.

It could be about to fail fully.

The heater failed last December ans was replaced (after 2 days of waiting time)
No, yes you read me right: there is heat in the car once fired up.

The preheating icon is greyed out in the app
I have the error message in the PCM when I try to active preheating.

But yes, there is heat when the car is running

Interesting situation. Heater works but pre-heat does not work/reports error is different than what I and others have reported in the forum.
Please let us know what you learn from dealer.

RESOLVED

Pre-heating issue was resolved by replacing a refrigerant circuit sensor on high pressure side
