hel
There are 2 SOH in our Taycan.
1, compares between de max capacity of the battery and de max 100% car capacity.
example max range battery = nom cap 93,4 KWh
and useable cap by 100% charge taycan = 83,7 KWh (safety margin Porsche) 83,7/93,4 * 100 = SOH 89,61% theoretically.
That doesn't make sense.
SoH is based on the whole battery, not just 83,7 kWh.

If you can't put in 93,4 kWh but only 78,2 kWh @100% SoC your SoH is 83,7%.
It's as simple as that.

hello,
There are 2 SOH in our Taycan.
1, compares between de max capacity of the battery and de max 100% car capacity.
example max range battery = nom cap 93,4 KWh
and useable cap by 100% charge taycan = 83,7 KWh (safety margin Porsche) 83,7/93,4 * 100 = SOH 89,61% theoretically.

2. The real SOH of your car.
read with the OBD scanner by 100% charge the real battery capacity ( new car = 83,7).
so 100% charge cap of your car/ max new car * 100= SOH %
Example:
my Taycan 42..000Km 22GTS 78,2/83,7*100 = SOH 93,42%

The SoC that you have circled is the State of Charge, SoC.

Yes there are 2 values displayed there, and while I am no expert on CarScanner, I think the values shown are SoC display = what you see in the car and app. The SoC HR is the overall batteries state of charge. The difference displayed is the safety margin that Porsche has at the top end.

If you discharge the battery to a very low level, you will find that there is a safety buffer at the lower end as well.
I drove my car to 2% Soc on the display and the CarScnner showed this value as display but 9% as SoC HR.

Your battery SoH is shown as 90.17, which seems quite common at 42k km.

As an alternative for checking your battery’s SOH, you might want to consider using the eFlow app (for transparency: we developed the app).

It allows you to compare your SOH to the fleet average, gain insights into other metrics, and track changes over time. The battery health data is automatically exported into a CSV file, which is accessible through the iOS ‘Files’ app.

You can check it out here: https://geteflow.app

Please feel free to get back to us with any feedback here in the forum or contact us directly.

Hey @Svenson :) I purchased the Pro version for Porsche cars and some ELM reader but when I try to connect to the car, I get a message "High-voltage battery not deenergized" and the app keeps spinning on "Connecting". How am I supposed to connect, with the car, on, of or some other mode?

Hi @Fantasmos,

can you send us a support request through the app settings? This will provide us with more details about the messages sent and received in the app.

Sometimes it does that.
Just "disconnect" and try again.
Or make a new bluetooth connection first (forget/delete current one), then connect the app.

Anyone used Car Scanner on a MY2025 . On mine it's not showing Battery Energy ... or rather it is but value is 0kw

I know Porsche have locked down some date from being accessible via OBD

I assume they were just shifted to other adresses. So it needs someone with a 2025 Taycan, Piwis and sniffing. Or may be the author of the scanner tools gets some info via the Audi Etron GT path, like with this Energy value, as this wasn't provided by me.

I just tested on a MY2025: the battery reads 0kWh.
Most other functions read just fine, I looked at battery cell voltage and they came up:

Thanks, what reading did you get for battery SOH?

Something strange: SoH is 67.69%.
SoC is correct at 77.92%

Screenshot_20241209_224407.jpg
Yep, mine is 67.564% Clearly it is not reading the correct information. Mine had a a new HV charger fitted prior to delivery and OPC did a full diagnostic check and re coding. Their flash SOH reading was 98.4%
Eflow are working on making their app compatible with the facelift models but no time line yet.

I'm glad for the misread. The car is like 2 weeks old. :whew:

Likewise I'm glad it isn't just mine with that reading. I guessed it was a mis read but I still spoke to the technician that did the HV Charger swap to check my 2 month old car wasn't suffering from a major battery issue.
Everything else seems to read OK and the fault codes match what the OPC noted. All codes are archived results so no current fault codes, although reading the TSB on fault codes the cars do throw up a few codes which can be ignored.
