I was notified of the recall while I took my car to service for other unrelated issues. Hopefully they have the parts to replace it while it is there. They didn't say otherwise, so should be good.

Per TSB for campaign WPL8 heater replacement, labor time for the replacement is 6.7 hours, and not only are dealer costs for loaner reimbursed by PCNA, costs to pick up and return the car could be included also:My email arrived Friday like so many others it appears. Called the dealer a few times and never got through. Left a message requesting a call back and radio silence. Switched to the app to make the appointment but it wouldn't let me request a loaner. Speaking of loaners...
The duration of the replacement is a bit hard to gauge on the forum due to many people waiting on parts. Does anyone have a good understanding of "ideal conditions" service duration? I'm trying to understand if I need to demand the loaner or not. A couple days, no issue. More than that and things get tight.
Super helpful, thank you! I didn't see the campaign listed in the email, nor was there an open recall listed anywhere for my VIN, so I wasn't sure if it was all under the same TSB. AFAIK Porsche opened the floodgates to all US Taycans. From what I read here the email went out to everyone with the old heater. I got one too, and already did the swap when I got the email. I was chatting with the tech at Porsche service yesterday and he told me they have their hands full with Taycans now, as only two techs are certified to work on them, and with the heater recall they are doing it every day lately.I got my recall email a few weeks ago - however Porsche uses AI to predict failures, it turned out to be spot on.
Congratulations! I for one will happily skip the club membership. I've never been one to succumb to peer pressure.Yay! I finally joined the club of HV heater failure experiencers. Was feeling inadequate, what with a perfectly functioning car and all.
Absolutely call Porsche Assistance or equivalent in U S.Looks like it's my turn, with a MY2024. Right after I picked it up from the dealer for other issues too, clearly something there triggered it.
Have to wait 2 weeks to schedule with dealer, better off calling 1800Porsche?
Dealers are backed up for servicing EV's (only so many EV trained techs). The most you might get from PCNA is a rental car for the two weeks. After that of course you're at the mercy of the speed of the diagnostics, which can slow down if Porsche engineers from Germany need to be in the loop, then of course the speed of replacement parts shipping from Germany. This being a well understood failure (many Taycan heaters have failed to date), they should be able to diagnose as soon as they get you in, order a new part, hopefully put it in as soon as they get it back.Looks like it's my turn, with a MY2024. In switzerland, they have it in invetory at most dealers that work with taycans. So clearly they expect these to fail often. I wonder if they redesgined it at any point, but seeing as how 2024 still fails, likely not.Dealers are backed up for servicing EV's (only so many EV trained techs). They redesigned something, since they proactively replaced heaters on all Taycans, at least in the US.I wonder if they redesgined it at any point, but seeing as how 2024 still fails, likely not.
I guess europe doesn't get that kind of treatmentThey redesigned something, since they proactively replaced heaters on all Taycans, at least in the US.
