Okay. Homelink set up and mapped to the shortcut button on the center display. It feels like I should now be able to say "Hey Porsche - Homelink" to activate it. Has anyone figured out how to use voice control to do anything other than "make it cooler"?

Still waiting on my Taycan so I haven't tried this, but in the Good to Know app under the "Examples of commands" section, it says you can give the voice command, "What can you do?"

Good question.....that would be good.
I've not gotten Homelink to work at all.....am still using a separate clicker.

In case you haven't seen this:

There are some non obvious steps, like pressing and holding virtual buttons at certain times.

Good luck!

Did you check if the door is compatible with Homelink?
I had an issue recording my clicker but it turned out my signal wasn't compatible.
After installing a new remote module with a different signal and clicker it worked like a charm.
I can still use the old clicker too.
Both have rolling codes.

Took me an hour to figure this out as well. (The instructions are a little "obtuse").

Note that you do not have the car read/copy the transmitter ("clicker"), you have the opener/receiver read the car. You do need to fire a sample transmitter once so the car knows what freq and signal type to send, but after that you need to tell your receiver/opener to "accept" the signal being sent by the car.

Maybe the system will actually clone a signal directly from a transmitter if it detects that Rolling Codes are not being used. However, most modern systems have been using rolling codes for quite some time now. That's why you have to prep your receiver/opener to accept the signal from the car (sync).

I have other Homelink compatible systems which also read/learn everything from the transmitter, but this is not one of them.

...and, yeah, you're opener/receiver needs to be Homelink compatible...

Dee....good point. How do you "check' ?
It's an "Overhead Door Co." operator that works fine with the wife's 997.2 and w/ other cars.

Look under "compatibility" and then select "compatible pruducts", then "click here for a list".
Then you see a line of black dots with a letter.
Click on the letter of the brand of your REMOTE.

Brand of your door may use a different brand remote as these can be from different manufacturers.

Yep thanks.....both 'holding' the clicker button as well as 'holding' the PCM button are are points the manual neglects to mention.
Searched for our opener on the Homelink site list....nothing, though it's a very common opener.

Glad I have an extra clicker :).
Disappointed Porsche did not employ something a tad more universal but understand the 'backward comparability' thing is a pain in the butt for any company these days.

It has nothing to do with Porsche.
It's Homelink.
Homelink doesn't support older systems cuz criminals are also aware of systems that become hackable...
You are probably better of with a more modern reciever if you know what I mean...

Like Dave said, I had to do the same. Get a standard homelink receiver, wire it the the door opener and train the remote that comes with the optional receiver.

I still want to know the answer to the original question: can you use "hey Porsche" to access Homelink and choose open garage
