How does the seat squab extend on 14/18-way seats?

On many cars with adjustable-depth seats, the section of the seat nearest the knees can be moved toward the knees to provide more support, but that leaves a gap between that section and the rest of the seat bottom. On my Audi A8, the front portion of the seat “unrolls” toward the knees in such a way that there is no gap in the seat bottom.

How do the Taycan’s adjustable seat squabs work?

Are we watching the same video? There is clearly a gap. The front piece extends out, with scrunched material in between to fill in the gap. With seats that unroll, the front of the seat rolls up to extend the seat, and there is no gap.

My Boxster has the same seats. There is a gap but it’s never been an issue. Beyond the appearance (when no one’s in the seat), is there a problem?
