How to play VIDEOS in the Taycan's PCM Screen

nothing helped. the taycan detects the device and now as an ipod.
Some seconds later it switches to carplay, than back on ipod, and so on.

This is normal, i click on the ipod and after one or two minutes i had the interface on screen

The best thing to do now is to contact MMB support.
They will ask you to activate logs on MMB and send logs files to them.
The best to way to contact them is with WhatsApp messenger.

they didnt answer since days. Can´t recommend the device atm.

I've posted it earlier in this thread. Using an old iphone and it works 100% of the time. Can use any app I want or just use safari browser to stream. You guys should think about it. An old iphone 6 oder 7 might come out cheaper than the box.

Yes but you said that Netflix for example is not working... All apps available on Android work on the MMB.

True, but I personally do not use Netflix much. I just use safari and go to my usual streaming websites and watch everything there. Works like a charm.

Also I am pretty sure Porsche will introduce the Netflix app eventually.

they introduced apple podcasts include video streaming in the latest update, but not netflix.
btw. i didnt know that apple podcast has videos aswell. thought it is audio only.

Carbridge is nice. but as long als DRM protection works, there will be no streaming apps. which is the main problem for me. i want my video streaming when i am charging. so i would still prefer the mmb product. (if it would work as aspected..)

If you have the passenger screen in your Taycan please also report back if it keeps the passenger screen on while in motion when the seat is unoccupied.

Finally got the Kufatec OBD flasher three months after ordering on Ebay and I can confirm it works to allow video while driving and you can have either the driver, passenger or even both screens playing the video while driving. The setup was ridiculously easy, hood open (no idea why), car on but not "running", plug in tool to OBD port, wait for light to go from red to solid green, pull it out, all set. Pretty impressive.

@TaycanNJ - it sounds like it was worth the wait. What video sources are you now able to view on the screens? I had the MMB CarPlay AI box which worked reasonably well for about 2 weeks and then it didn't so I returned it (it started to think it was a Playstation).

So far I’ve only used a USB drive with movie files on it.

No, it does not seem to do that.

There is a new device from a different producer, which is called cp-600+.
Loaded with android 9 and 1,8ghz. (instead of 1.5ghz and android 7)
