There’s a lot of threads asking about how to spec cars up in here. Understandably!

Interested in current owners thoughts, what would you change on your current Taycan specifications?
Did you add anything that’s proven to be a waste of time and money in your in your eyes?
Do you even wish you’d chosen a different colour?
What would you do differently next time

Not got mine yet. Should be here end of March.

Wish I had specced 21 inch exclusive wheels instead of the aero turbos.

Also maybe pan roof and the extra rear seat.

Maybe not the surround camera as that seems to have bad reviews everywhere.

I do find surround camera useful now I’ve got used to the weird view. It’s better than having nothing especially with the lack of visibility out of the back. When the cameras are clean & dry that is, which is not that often.

I would’ve gone for Exclusive design wheels instead of the turbo aero I specced.

As I was clueless on charging electric cars I added every single charging cable, and I have not used one yet. Could’ve probably left it and just bought some aftermarket cables if needed.

I’d also at least consider a turbo more seriously than I did a year ago when I ordered. Not that the 4S isn’t quick enough, but it’s always nice to go even quicker!

Interesting! on the wheels front, in what respect have you found them disappointing?

I found the heads-up display to be completely useless. It would have been nice if it worked with CarPlay but it doesn’t. I should have spec’d torque vectoring instead.

I went with the 20” sport wheels but if given a choice I would go back and get the Mission-E wheels just for the looks.

I didn’t spec Active Lane Keep and Innodrive because they are available as FoD options, but so far FoD is not working for me (activation of Innodrive has been pending for more than 10 days).

Guys,
What would you chose Adaptive cruise control ACC or InnoDrive , bear in mind that cruise control is already standard. Why would go to InnoDrive over ACC ? And what is the detail difference between them.

I wish I hadn’t gone with the sports exhaust. In hindsight it has brought nothing to my build.

All joking aside:

Ioniser - is it on?
Seat ventilation - Still winter in Blighty
Passenger display - My passengers daren’t fiddle with it.
150w on-board DC - is there anywhere I can try it out in the UK?
Mobile charger connect - Technically this came free with my car but it’s huge & I’m sure it has its own gravity. Still lugging that around in the car currently and wonder if I will ever use it.
Public charging cable - most I’ve been to are tethered so probably a pointless option ticked.

1) Turbo instead of 4s
2) Turismo instead of sedan for practicality
3) No Intelligent Range Manager
4) No docking station for the charger
5) if PMCC was not a forced option I would also drop it
6) No 400V 150kw DC/DC converter
7) Possibly no Pano roof for the Turismo version that has more headroom.

Things I would add next time:
Turbo S (EV speed and torque are addictive)
Folding mirrors
Night vision
Porsche Exclusive Contrast Stitching

Favorite options on my car:
Rear Axle Steering
Massage seats
Mamba Green
Mission e rims
Pano roof
Sport Chrono plus mode selector dial
Motorized charge port doors

Wish I'd gone for the Sports Design Sideskirts on my 4S but the good news is that you can now get them retofitted at Porsche dealers.

A lot
I regret:
- Innodrive.
- Mission E wheels in silver, didn't see that cuz I wanted in body color (white).
- PDCC (forced to select).
- Seat ventilation (cuz then I have all the symbols on the centre console).
- Olea Club Leather
- Crayon color (not available at the time).

Other than that I'm very happy with the car as it is! :)
