Inside of an ABB Terra High Power CCS Charger

I was cruising by Sam's today as the Electrify America chargers were being serviced. Being the inquisitive sort, I invited myself to chat and take a few pictures of the guts of these Italian-made chargers. I have attached the pictures and some info from the abb.com web site. The DC Cables coming in to the bottom of the charge post are a sight to behold, but you know they would have to be big to handle 500 amps!

Did you happen to ask what was wrong with it? I'm kind of curious what their failure modes are, but I'm willing to bet the failure modes are 99% in the digital electronics or back-end.

No, sorry, I didn't. All the tech would say was that #2 was having some issues.
