I have the same, however ´Merhebia Finest´ (in Drammen, Norway) mounted protection film (PPF) on all my 4 door sills and now they look like OEM. I don't have to worry about possible scratches. I also got the same invisible self healing PPF on the exterior paint and carbon parts. Almost impossible to see with the naked eye, so I feel rather relaxed regarding damages and stone chips. Great guys and splendid service which I would recommend

At least you have a sill plate. I had a 2020 Tesla that left the factory without the driver side plate installed!

Yep, normal fitting. I suspect the gap is slightly more pronounced than you might expect as they can be replaced / upgraded (lights etc) and therefore need to be removed easily.
