Picked up my new to me 4S CT yesterday and took it on a trip today (UK, Montrose to Strichen and back). When I left car was at 90% and showing 243 miles range, which would be 270 miles at 100%. Used normal mode. 20" off-road design wheels. The trip up was 81 miles, mostly dual carriageway which I drove on the cruise control at 70 mph. Arrived with 55% charge, 2.2 mi/kWh, 55 mph average. Was 4C for the trip up. Trip back was 84 miles, 2C and dark. Used the HD Matrix lamps, work really well. Arrived home with 20%, 2.4 mi/kWh, 51 mph average thanks to a 10 mile stretch where it was snowing heavily. Range showing 43 miles.

The trip overall was 165 miles and used 70% charge, equivalent to a 236 miles range. I love the car and it's great to drive, but whoever got the 364 mile range for the spec sheet must have been driving it downhill for a very long way indeed. :)

This is helpful but not unusual given the conditions you were under. Also, please clarify that you have the pre-facelift CT, model year, battery type, and not the new 2025 model that has significantly more range, and where are you getting 364 miles estimate from for your particular model and setup.

It's the new model, hence the J1.2 in the title. 3 months old, 3,000 miles covered before I got it. All CT have the big battery.

My apologies, I did not check the title and was just reading the posting and referencing your vehicle description in the profile that did not state 2025, but showing it now, thank you.

Then the only plausible explanation given that you have plenty of miles to have it break in properly, that cold weather requiring to keep the battery heated, significant impact on aero in snow and wind, significantly higher rolling resistance of tires in the snow results in 35% range decrease from ideal conditions where the 364-mile figure was collected.

Quick check of the US Configurator (below) shows EPA range of 274 miles, which means to me that 300 miles is about max under ideal conditions.

Also, recent thread with range and efficiency data may be helpful as it is showing similar results:

Typical decrease in range for pre-facelift J1.1 models is also in a 30-35% range in cold weather at highway speeds between 70mph and 80mph.

Over here they show the WLTP Range combined figure, that's the 364 miles I mentioned. Evidently wildly optimistic :), EPA seems more grounded in reality. No snow on the ground by the way.

Seems a bit low but but I haven't driven my J.1.2 in really cold weather yet. I'm 2000 miles in and today it's 6°c and I'm getting 286 miles. It's a 4S ST on 21" rims. Best so far is 306 miles.

Temperature here is due to plunge tomorrow to 0° to 2°c so it will be interesting to see the m/km. My previous 4S CT range would drop significantly in freezing conditions.
