Welcome to the club. Driving a Taycan around the four corner states has come a long way since I got my first Taycan in April, 2020. Back then, we did not have EA chargers in Moab, Green River, UT , nor Salina, UT, so making the jump from Grand Junction to Richfield, UT was a lot harder.

I have done over 60k miles in a a few different Taycan's since April, 2020, and have been to 16 states all without ever using a Tesla supercharger. Do I have a TeslaTap for Tesla destination chargers, I do, but there is no need to leverage Tesla superchargers out in this part of the US when CCS charging via CCS providers is more than adequate. It is also way faster and cheaper.

Congrats on the CT. If you are in Wash Park or in Cherry Creek and see an Ice Grey CT4S with Thule bars, give me a wave. I would add that if you needed road trip advice feel free to ask, but you made it from Denver to Zion in February, so you already got it figure out.

Cheers.

What I want to learn:
...
How to charge at RV parks.
RV parks (at least here in California) tend to offer one of two (or both) outlets: NEMA 14-50 (which your Porsche-provided EVSE should include) and TT-30. The first is your best choice (240V, 50A, charges about 6x faster than a regular 120V plug), but in a pinch the TT-30 (120V, 16A) will charge about twice as fast.

The trick is having an EVSE with a TT-30 adapter. I have a J+ Booster 2, for which a TT-30 adapter is available. I think(?) the Tesla EVSE might also offer one (but then you'd need also need a NACS-to-CCS adapter for the other end that plugs into the car).

I too have the Lectron L2 Tesla to J1772 adapter. I purchased it in anticipation of a resort stay that I knew had 15 Tesla chargers but only 2 j1772 chargers. Upon my arrival, despite the j1772 chargers being occupied, the resort's Tesla Destination chargers had j1772 adapters on them (apparently the resort's courtesy vehicle, a XC90 T8 uses it frequently). So I carry the adapter in the car indefinitely, we'll see when I can actually use it.

Interesting. Although I don't camp frequently, the annual camp ground I go to have TT-30 plugs. I purchased a TT-30 to NEMA 5-15 adapter mostly so I can use small electrical appliances and planned to use a 120v 16a charger.

So using a J+ booster with a TT-30 adapter will give you a full 30 amps?

MoniqueDenver service mode for the wipers is: turn off the car, then hold down the wiperarm for 3 seconds and they will go up into service mode.

Living in Norway with winter for several months I can confirm that the wiper design has some problems under certain weather conditions. Specifically in wind and snow with around 0 degrees.

They say it's 24A at 120V (2.88 kW). I tried it just to see if it worked the last time we were at a campground, but I don't remember what kW the Taycan actually pulled.

If your headed to Salt Lake City From Denver, the new Electra America chargers along I-80 all all available now. Little quicker to get there, just not as scenic taking I-70.
