Got an invite from my dealer's, just got back home.
Report:
It was a seminar about electric mobility.
Meanwhile I talked with a few people and managed to get some info on the Taycan.
We are invited to the presentation of the Taycan on 9th of November, that's two months after the IAA 2019.
Note, this is in the Netherlands.
I also managed to get some numbers:
60 reservations at this dealer (we have 8 official dealers in total).
Zero cancellations so far.
They will get about 30 cars (I'm #19 on the list )
Nothing about free charging yet.
I spoke to the director and he told us he, as a true Porsche enthusiast, was thrilled when he visited the factory when he saw the parts that were going to be on the Taycan.
He specifically told us it's going to be a real Porsche, we shouldn't be worried about the Taycan being an electric Panamera...
Good.

Interesting...…… So no invite to the official unveiling….. only to a local presentation in November.….. That's kind of stingy of Porsche...…. considering that we have all bet on their success in this endeavor and although they are happy with the over 20000 reservations world wide, if correct that they will unveil in different locations at the same time they could be more generous..... my opinion anyway.. :)

I didn't say that.
I'm going to Frankfurt anyway but I'm sure we'll get an invite for that as well.

sorry misinterpreted! my fault

And at least you got a seminar to go to..... here in Switzerland nothing is happening I even have to remind them that I exist. But in the local dealer's defense It seems that there is no real central organisation for Porsches electromobility push here...… Hopefully its coming.

See you in Frankfurt! :)

In Norway they just hired an «E-Performance Manager». Talked to a seller recently and the only info he had that I didn’t have was that the first version (sedan) will not have the option of a tow hook.

Ow, forgot: it was mentioned the Taycan has a CoG which is 8cm lower than an 911.
It is also faster than any 911...
And, now here's what surprised me quite a bit, it is faster than a 918...
...
This can't be true, right?
That would be a 0-100kph in less than 2.6 seconds...
I know the Taycan has very efficient motors but this is a bit of exaggerating, right?
Still, it could mean the Taycan has over 600bhp indeed and is lighter than expected (<2300kg).
Ok, I'm just fine with 3.0 so hearing this it could mean Porsche was a bit modest about the 600+hp and <3.5sec. figures which fit perfectly in their tradition that the actual numbers are better than stated...
...
Hmm, maybe it's just wishful thinking.

We get goodies all the time.
Charge cord, brochure, seminars.
Sorry.
But then again, we haven't heard about the free 3-year charging contract...

The physics just don’t support a 2444 kg car with 630 hp going to 60 mph less than 3 seconds in any universe

Actually the 0-100 time should be, at least eventually, on par with Tesla. Electric is super responsive. And with 4wd and good tires you can get the power down. So my guess is 2.5 - 3 secs.

Tesla MS L: 2.3 secs
https://www.zeroto60times.com/vehicle-make/tesla-0-60-mph-times/
It’s approx 2,2 tons

I can’t really see it being heavier than MS.

A conventional car needs launch control or a pro driver. So for a drag race from a light crossong an EV is superior for everyday drivers.

But around Die Grüne Hölle... no way! I think slightly faster than the Panamera maybe. But 918... dream on!

Very recently Porsche stated the goal was under 8 mins. Not 7.
