Received a nice update from my dealer yesterday. My turbo delivery date moved up from 10/23/20 to 9/25/20. The vehicle completion date (V300) went from 8/28/20 to 7/31/20. The amount of time in the body shop is currently estimated to be around 15 days. The original schedule I was provided in the spring had the car in the body shop for around 36 days, which may have been due to Porsche being conservative with everything that was going on earlier in the year. I know several of you have fall deliveries on 2020s so maybe you too will see accelerated build schedules as the factory goes into overdrive.

I thought it took about 28 days to build the complete car, from start to leaving production? Must have misunderstood that.

7 Day to prepare, 14 Days to build the car then it comes down to delivery. Overall 21 days sounds very slick to me. Delivery to the states is 30 days, slow boat then!

Wow, I have the exact same schedule as yours, (7/10 lock to 10/23 delivery). I didn’t get an update on timing yet though...here’s hoping

I had been in touch with them this past week about another topic and they brought up the possibility that my delivery date might be moved up and asked if that would be okay (yes please!) and then yesterday they confirmed the accelerated timetable. I'd consider reaching out this week to see if you have an update too! *fingers crossed*

Maybe they've found a way to accelerate things by moving some of the production into tents in the parking lot ;)

Hi T-Fury,

Did they move up your fixed date too or simply a shortened Production time? My V250 is 7/17 as of two weeks ago...I am wondering I will be benefited from this accelerated schedule...

They did move up my fix date as well now that I look. The old fix date was 7/17 and is now 7/10. Hopefully you too will see a bump forward!

It seems like the pipeline of parts is working well and they are getting into full production. For me it wasn’t the production time (that was around 12 days) it was from going from order lock to starting production that was the big delay.

My Turbo S V250 is 6/26 but they told me they are 3 days early with entry into body shop V260 at 7/10. Hopefully I'll get the same 1 week turnaround you do...

Delivery projected 9/4... Really great if they can move it up a few weeks. The 1 month exit/entry just kills the timing.

I got an updated list of my times today, only thing that changed was the time from inbound port to dealer moved up a week. V260 is still 7/24, and V332 is still 9/25.

It'd be great if my V300 moved up a week, as that means my car probably wouldn't spend 3 weeks sitting in Emden. :p

Wow, that's great. Tough for me to see though. My car entered production 3/9, and was scheduled to end production 7/3 as of last week. I still don't get why my car was so delayed.

Any non-US 4S experiencing the same?
