I was away for a few weeks. I checked the mailbox tonight and found a large box from Porsche. Inside was a USB Porsche Charger.

Heh. I was on the list as early as possible for a Taycan and haven’t received any gifts, the booklets, etc. TBH, since my car is going to be delivered to me this week, I don’t really care as I’ll take deliver over swag any time.

It’s a 4-port desktop USB power supply. 2 USB-A ports and 2 USB-C ports.

Not for the car.

I like how they made the USB port to look the like actual chargers, although I have never actually seen one that looks like this outside of Porsche media shots.

I'm starting a new house soon and have thought I would like to have an induction charging pad in the garage floor. Early on when Porsche was nearing their final design of the Taycan, they alluded to there being this option available in the future. Since then I haven't heard a word about it.
Am I nuts?

No to both questions. Like you, I’ve heard the same from my dealer but nothing definitive in terms of when.

Same story here in uk,wanted to install in new house but dealership knows absolutely nothing about it,would be nice to know approximate dimensions then we could at least put in a void for future installation

I'd find that also very cool, but would need to see first the loss of energy compare to a cable connection. What I remember it was around 20%.

I think it totally depends on what dealer and how serious you are about a Taycan...

I'll be very surprised if I even get one of those. The dealer here in NY is selling so many that Taycan customers are something of a commodity.

definitely nice, going to give mine to my son when he takes off for Michigan State Dorm life next month. (Fingers crossed they still get to go )
