It’s that season, so my cat asked to go fo a drive to get out of the city and see the leaves changing colors.

A bridge was out, the Nav didn’t know the road was closed. Then it took me down another 2 mile dirt road adventure. Thanks Porsche!

Did you buy the car to match your cat or visa versa?
It’s all about the cat.

I even had my seatbelts upgraded to match my cat’s harness.

This pic is nice since the logo on the roof looks like a leaf from the background.
Not sure if that was intentional, but it is great like that.

The car is terribly dirty! I would have taken more car photos, but I haven’t washed it recently. Embarrassing.

Can I ask how you got your cat to behave well in the car? Also taking a leash... I guess just start taking them places in the car really young?

Our old cat died last week and while he loved being up in our chalet was not a big fan of the car - but we only started needing to take him places when he was pretty old.

It would be fantastic if we can take cat mk2 in the car like you have, so any tips gratefully received!

It’s a slow process. I’ve been gradually getting my cat used to a wearing a harness and then a leash. It’s been a year. He’s only two years old.

Start by just putting it on him for a few minutes. Then give him a treat. Then take it off. Do that several times until he doesn’t mind. The add a leash, and walk around the house. Treats. Positive reinforcement.
Then out to the car. A short ride. If he has a favorite cat bed, bring that along. A few short rides. Treats.

Eventually he’ll get used to it. Probably. Some cats get car sick. Others don’t. Like people.

Bottom line, take it slowly. Give treats. And in a year he might be a good car cat.
