Hello everyone!

When I ordered my car (Taycan 4S CT), back in October 21, due in October 22, I was told by my company car lease company (Zenith in the UK), would block connected services on cars leased through them.

I was wondering how this actually affects the ownership of a Taycan and what connected services this actually impacts?

Anyone else had a similar experience with a leasing company?

I lease my Taycan from Porsche and the various connected services work fine. Not sure why a lease company would block them as admin/payment is via the online myporsche portal. Various important functions are administered via connected services: PVTS, apple music, Porsche Charging Service etc.

How would they even be able to ? Not allow you add the car to your Porsche ID?
I have been told that they would tell Porsche to block the VIN from being used on connected services, I subsequently imagine that I won’t know what is truly blocked until I receive the car.

I don’t get why they would do it either. Seems like it would cause more hassle and issues with the car by blocking these services, which is why I pose this question to see if there has been similar experiences.
