Looking to add a 911 to my garage

Hmmm.......I am not sure what 997.2's in good shape would fetch in the U.S.
The market here has cooled a bit, however as the say, they are not making them anymore.
I imagine that they will appreciate over the next decade.

I wouldn't bank on that personally. Lots made.

Garage queens might, but who wants a driver's car to not drive it?

For 911’s I would stick to 997 (manual).

Thanks for the great replies. Right now, I am debating between:

997.1 C4s
997.2 C2
993 Cab
996 Turbo
964 Cab

Each have their pros and cons, but I am thinking either the 993 or 964 would complement the Taycan best. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I've had a 991.2 S for past 3 years. Now that we have a 2025 Taycan Base for 1 month, I like that more; the refined luxury feel, even the looks. And I've never really noticed just how loud the cabin noise is when driving the 911. Each time I think of selling the 911, I go do something to take my mind off it. The Taycan is intoxicating. I think it is my age as well. I'm 65.

A 911 for weekends is a fantastic plan. Your choices all have a different vibe and different economics.

I’ve owned a 2020 4S+ since new and love it. This supplemented my former 25 year long daily driver, a ‘91 964 manual coupe.

I’ll always keep the special analog 964, it’s a raw and soulful drive. Nothing like an air cooled, so given your price range you should be able to find a nice cab. The coupes in that price range may have some issues. Well maintained the cab should hold or increase in value.

I did break down and picked up a 992.1 ‘24 Carrara T Manual. This is my summer long distance touring car. Taycan my daily, and the 964 for those special events and sunny summer days.
