Loose rear camera - not covered under warranty?

During the year 2 service of my RWD Sport Tourismo the technician reported a loose rear camera - needing bumper removal and securing camera.
Service chap says it isn’t covered by warranty as likely caused by a bump - although no signs of a bump anywhere and it’s cost c. £350!! FFS!
Why the tech pushed the camera in is beyond me as it was working perfectly before. Now it’s like looking down a tunnel.

So why exactly isn’t this covered by warranty if they didn’t secure it properly during the vehicle build?

Whatever happened to goodwill!?

Try a different dealership.

Plausible excuse but they could be right but given he's made it worse then you could leverage and split the difference?
