The MB looks on paper to be an excellent car however it is a luxury grand touring car, something tesla should moved the model S towards.
the MB will compete with cars like the Lucid in that class of car.
Porsche taycan is a very different type of car geared towards a different niche in the market.
the MB model S and the porsche cars have existed in the same universe and the only car porsche makes that comes close to a MB is the panemara. I wish MB well, I hope their car is wildly successful as the EV world continues to expand.

The EQS interior seems years ahead of the Taycan with the hyperscreen MB is offering. Check out youtube Autogefuhl video. MB IS CLAIMING THE RANGE WILL BE 435 miles. No pricing yet but will be available in Europe this year. i think the key will be the drive experience. The Taycan is fast, drives like a Porche and the exterior styling is better than the MB. However the interior of the MB is better. Wonder if the MB will be a better EV?

I’m a big visual guy and the exterior just looks like ? in my opinion.

I just saw the Lucid with it's lights on. Does nothing for me either

Same here. It's not because they are both EV's that they are in any shape or form comparable. It's a sports car inspired Porsche versus a big ass luxury limo.

Not one is better then the other. They are incomparable.

Absolutely agree. You can not compare these models.

I think it is good to see so many nice quality cars being released this year.
EQS will for sure compete with Tesla ModelS. With Tesla have much more focus on Performance and not build quality etc.

Agreed. I think its ugly but reserve final judgment to when I see it in the flesh. The interior looks impressive but I have heard the standard is S-class ICE and the extra big screen is a few thousand (whatever currency) on top - ie its an extra. At the end of the day its an S-class which for me is code for "old man" - not there yet. Its also damm slow but probably fast for an old man ...Different category and buyers to Taycan in my opinion.

I compared the Taycan to the S63 so I guess not so incomparable? If you have an SUV already what’s stopping you from being more open with your choice of a second or third car? I don’t HAVE to fill a particular need with this car so I get what interests me and I am interested in more than just one thing.

We shall see. Remember that Porsche was "selling" us when orders were being taken that the car would get "Over" 300 miles...hahaha. Uh, no. Well, the EQS is not as pretty as the Taycan and until I drive it, have no idea how it handles. The interior seems very nice, less spartan that the Taycan. Time will tell.
