My last ordered Porsche was in 1978. So I really don't know the company anymore. When I ordered in October, the Mobile Charge Connect was a zero cost item. Should I expect to pay the new $1120 price for the Mobile Charger Connect? Thanks.

Absolutely not. I made some last minute changes to my build and submitted a new Porsche code for the adjustments. Of course the new code had $1,120 for the PMCC but I got it taken off. The line in the sand is having your customer created in the system by Dec 18th. Here's a copy of the price protection info if your dealer gives you a hard time about it.

Also FYI if you're ordering the 22kW charging option, there's now a part# for a hardwire pigtail (heavy gauge loose wire end w/no plug) on the PMCC so you can get the full 22kW out of it rather than having to buy a third-party charger. We have the part# but Porsche is being difficult about getting it assigned to my order because it's a brand new thing.

Wonderful. That is what I would expect. Thank you.

Darn. Wish I knew that - I took it off my order because I didn’t want to pay more for a Porsche charger (I’m paying $899 for a 11kwH clipper creek charger). I should have kept it for the beach house

NOTE: US models are probably limited to 19.2 kW charging rate - as there is no support in the J-1772 EV charging standard for more than 19.2 kW (100 amp breaker / 80 amp charging rate).

19.2 kW is still super fast, but 22 kW is _NOT_ expected in north america.

So, does this mean the Mobile Charger Plus is now standard in the Taycan in the US? I note the standard equipment list on the configurator refers to supply cables for 120 and 240 (NEMA 14-50) are included, but the list does not include reference to the charger (unless I’m missing it somewhere)
