Given these crazy times I am looking at my options to buy a stock vehicle.

I have a possibility to buy a new (0 km) model year 2021

but what are the biggest differences/ improvements made in 2022 that would be a red flag to buy the 2021.

If you want Android Auto, note that it's not available on the 2021 Taycans. Android Auto is wired on the 2022, and I expect it to become wireless in future years.

I’d say: go for it!
there’s no sense to wait (a year?), it’s almost spring time, so let’s rock&roll

Does he mean the pedals are going to be aluminium as standard, or does he mean the aluminium pedals will have a new design? I've just locked my spec in and have paid extra for aluminium pedals.
Race tex on the b pillars will look better than the current plastic too!

I have a 2022 Taycan 4S without metal pedals.

Thanks, does the race tex on your car cover just the b pillar then stop at ceiling?
Maybe he's talking about the Turbo and Turbo S? I have the standard interior on the 4S and I have black fabric on my b-pillar.

I honestly can't think of anything.

PCM 6.0 was enhanced for calendar year 2022 but not clear when this is available in MY22 cars which have been shipping since last September.

No software, physical or mechanical changes to worry about.

Residuals are really high so I think you have a good option here.

One thing - when in 2021 was the car made?

Check the VIN number - 10th character is key to confirm model year.

What's the fabric like - I thought the b pillar was hard plastic?
Yes, the bottom half is. Above the shoulder it’s like a black netting-type fabric until you get to the glass roof. Note - I have the “standard” interior.

Aluminum pedals were offered as an option starting for MY2022, not standard.

I did consider optioning these but was swayed away based on opinions I’ve read about them on other Porsche models. Apparently the grip may not be as good if your shoes are wet vs standard pedals.

My understanding is that July is the month for the changes in the model is announced
Therefore 2022 changes were announced July 2021. I’m guessing you are asking for is the changes to be announced this July to be in the 2023 car
