Hello folks in SF bay area,
I'm moving to SF from Denver, and I currently have two sets of tires(summer and winter) due to the weather here.
What's your suggestion on tires? Can I use my summer tires and sell my winter tires?
Or should I swap to winter tires and drive until I need a new set of tires? (I'm planning to drive from Denver to SF in October)
My winter tires are very new, only have them for ~3 months(<1000 miles). If I don't need them, does anyone know what percentage of prices should I ask for?
I can post and see if any owners here in CO are interested in them.
Thanks!
And looking forward to seeing your awesome cars there ;)

Between the Bay Area and Napa, summer tires year-round for me.

I’d consider as much sidewall as you can stand. The roads all across the region are brutally rough.
19s?

Try to sell them in the fall just before your drive over. There's a small market for winter tires in the bay area for ppl heading up to Tahoe but those sizes and being staggered, there's probably a very small market for what you have. Having miles on them already, I'd probably list them at 50-70% of retail (assuming tires only) depending on how fast you want to move them.

Also try Facebook marketplace.

Summer tires all year round... make sure you park your car inside a secured garage at all times (if you can do it) and dont ever leave anything valuable in the car - ever. Uber to restaurants, shows etc.. your never more than 5-10 minutes from getting a ride and you'll be happier for it...
