If you're looking for a car, just look on Autotrader. There's like 400+ cars listed, many with photos, meaning they're actual in-stock cars that aren't customer orders.

In the UK there is only 1 for sale on Autotrader at a hugely inflated price!

Interestingly I would think that car sales would be down significantly during the COVID pandemic, sales are down but not to the point that dealerships are panicking. In the middle of the shutdown, the dealership manger said that traffic had slowed but they were still okay with their revenue, ie. not losing money. Auto dealerships never closed because they were considered essential services in Texas by the governor. By the middle of May all businesses were open to some extent. So the dealership sold 6 Taycans in the last 2 weeks of May and would have sold more if they had the right model. 4S models have been coming in but most of those were customer ordered cars. They have a couple cars coming in that were factory specced cars, but there are not a lot of Taycans sitting on the lot. Dealership salesperson said there will be a shortage of cars going into the end of the year as no new allocations are being offered until next year. This dealership said they have about 10 cars coming which are ordered cars, whether there will be any more factory specced cars coming is unknown. Supply and demand appear to be very tight.

I don't think anyone in the Bay Area is marking them up... at least several of the dealers were listed in this thread. Since you already have a couple of p-cars, you can just ask your salesperson. The only difference is allocation, as some dealers may have an earlier slot. If you are looking to just take something off a lot, then you will at least want to search all of CA on autotrader or something. If the car is sitting on a lot, then there's definitely room for negotiation.

I have an allocations which freezes in a few days. Porsche Fremont refused to discount off MSRP for a new custom order, but said they would discount the stock on the lot. There does seem to be quite a few Taycans in inventory - Fremont has 10 and Stevens Creek 12. I am considering just cancelling my order and buying a new car off the lot early next year as there's already a few close to my build and even more so with features like InnoDrive being available OTA.

I would just purchase one off the lot. Most dealers across the country are going to be doing MSRP for a 2021 allocation, just no need to discount them given the limited allocations we're all looking at for next year.

I am very close to delivery now and I must say my dealership that had an 2020 allocation for me is doing quite well. That being Porsche of Bakersfield. They did do MSRP but was able to negotiate charger and tire kit that is now included in price for 2021 model year.

I was able to reserve for just $1k in February for a July lock, August Build, Nov PECLA Delivery. Could have been October for non-PECLA.

I have been working with Parris in Bakersfield and all is very smooth. Have yet to even visit the dealership. I was working with Stevens Creek Porsche starting October 2019 who were great as well, but due to queues in Bay Area, could not get me a 2020 allocation and I was too anxious so put a 2nd deposit in Bakersfield.

If interested in Bakersfield feel free to direct email me. I verified that they do now have available 2021 allocations. Also I do think that you should consider Grapevine with @LukeManning who has been a great contributor to this forum.

Picked up a new 4S over the weekend for 5% MSRP in South Florida, but I had a previous relationship with the dealer. Champion Porsche has over 40+ Taycan's on the lot, so they are definitely negotiatable.
