Well, I took a different 'route' on my pick-up day. No music, no radio, no distractions for an hour ride home. I just wanted to be involved in the experience of driving my car home. Hitting a couple of apex's on entry and exit ramps as well as some 'country road' apex's when traffic allowed and a few, well maybe more than a few, full accelerations. I arrived home with a really big smile - 😁. Saying that....................take a really long ride home and play your whole list!🎉
That’ll be me too.
Despite being a music lover who listens at home a lot I hardly ever listen to music in a car apart from on a (rare nowadays) long trip on cruise control :)

I had this on in the car yesterday and it reminded me of this thread......

I remember playing it once in a previous car......warm summer night, nearly dawn, driving through the city centre with the roof down and a girl on a first date in the passenger seat.
Perfection!
And it certainly revved her up! 😀

....... Unfortunately when we got to my place, she was allergic to my cat and her eyes were streaming and she couldn't stop sneezing and wanted to go home 🤣

After putting down a deposit nearly six months ago, my new RWD arrived at the dealership, and I’ll be picking it up soon! I compiled some classic rock songs for the intentionally long drive home. What songs would you (or have you) put in your playlist for your first drive home?

Bron-Yr-Aur (Led Zeppelin) – I always start new journeys with this song.
Highway Star (Deep Purple)
I Can’t Drive 55 (Sammy Hagar)
Born to be Wild (Steppenwolf)
Jump Into the Fire (Nilsson)
She Loves My Automobile (ZZ Top)
Red Barchetta (Rush)
High Voltage (AC/DC)
It’s a Long Way to the Top (AC/DC)
Highway to Hell (AC/DC)
That Was Just Your Life (Metallica)
Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd)
Run Like Hell (Pink Floyd)
Panama (Van Halen)
Radar Love (Golden Earring)
Hot Rod Lincoln (Commander Cody)
Drive my Car (The Beatles)
Under my Wheels (Alice Cooper)
Trampled Under Foot (Led Zeppelin)
Runnin’ Down a Dream (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers)
Goin’ Mobile (The Who)
Mustang Sally (Wilson Pickett)
I Drove All Night (Roy Orbison)
Low Rider (War)
Slow Ride (Foghat)
Rockin’ Down the Highway (The Doobie Brothers)
Roll on Down the Highway (Bachman-Turner Overdrive)
Born to Run (Bruce Springsteen)
Freeway Jam (Jeff Beck)
Life is a Highway (Tom Cochrane)
Paradise by the Dashboard Lights (Meat Loaf)
Driver’s Seat (Sniff ‘n the Tears)
Autobahn (Kraftwerk)
Drive (The Cars)
Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd) – because I wish you were!
Mine was Fortitude by Gojira. Had to drive back from Portsmouth. It was glorious and BOSE did itself proud.

Currently listening :rock::rock:

Music can definitely make mundane tasks more enjoyable. As for audible reviews, I haven't checked any out recently, but I'm always looking for new recommendations. If you've got any favorites or must-listen albums, feel free to share them! I'm always up for discovering new music to add to my collection.
