This topic will be about my enhancements/customisation/face-lift on my Taycan Turbo S.
I'll update this first post so all things stay together.

1. The screen.
What I've done is the anti-glare screen for the console, no more fingerprints!
And it feels less slippery:

2. The sticker.
Adds 5 hp!
Also in LC! :)
View attachment 6023

3. The body line.
I don't like the line on the lower front door/sill.
The upper line doesn't follow the one below, looks wierd (it comes from the design of the Mission E).
View attachment 6024
So I added some matt black film, now it has much more "flow":
View attachment 6025
On the back, the black film goes down "into" the black sill, making even a bit wider rear fender:
View attachment 6026

4. The license plate.
Smaller licence plate, a sticker.
Looks so much better.
I put "parking sensors" in the holes.
I need the holes for putting back the original plate in case the police wants me to.
It'll cover de sticker:

5. The rear "vent".
When looking at the back lid of a 911, I came up with the idea to make the Taycan more "mechanical/spaceship-ish/fighterjet" etc.

I put stripes (cut from gloss black film) on the lower "window" to mimick a vent/intake like on a 911.
I think it looks rather nice:
View attachment 6029 View attachment 6030 View attachment 6031
Update: removed, didn't like it anymore.

6. The rims.
Making the rims white.
I thought the outer rims where white when I ordered them but unfortunately the Mission E wheels are silver.

So, I tried to make them white with gloss white film.
I'm not satisfied with the result, the finish is not that good and it doesn't stick very well.
I'll have to buy better film (or paint them, not sure yet).
Anyway, here's how that wrapping looks like:

At least it looks better than silver, don't you think?

Update 12-7-2020:
Rims are done, I think they look great!

Update 23-07-2020:
7. The diffuser
I bought a RICE* item from eBay and installed it.
It's bolted at the original two screw of the diffuser and four support screws on the edge.
I think it looks great and gives some more aggressiveness to the boring diffuser.
From a distance it looks it supposed to be there, exactly what I had in mind.

9. Lowering

I wasn't quite pleased with the dark grey so I painted it black.
Much better!
Finished!

Update 14-8-2021:
"Improving upon perfection"
I'm on diffuser v.2.0. now!
5 fins instead of 4.
Also thicker and sturdier.
Better.
I think I just like diffusers...?

To be continued?
This is hands down the most elegant diffuser mod out there. Have you considered making a kit and selling it? Im guessing that there are a few of us that would buy it; count me in if you do!

I wonder if anyone makes the "colored" rim stickers that you made? I have a white turbo with black mission wheels, might be cool to have them white like you did.

Second attempt: much better.
I took some great care to make a perfect template, that helped a lot.
IMG_20200710_195148785_HDR.jpg

I'm getting even better at it!
No air bubbles.
Only the section with the ventil took quite some time.
IMG_20200710_205934368_HDR.jpg

I'm quite happy with the result! :)
Still three wheels to go...

Grtz Dee.
Does anyone have the CAD file for what this film would be? I would like to do this on my gloss black Mission E wheels. I have a friend that does vinyl for a living, and he can get the films and deliver them cut - if we had the CAD.

I made a table for 10, 15 and 20mm lowering.
It's the original length minus/plus the numbers in the table:
IMG_20201014_131151646.jpg
@Dee
Can you explain the lower corners of your diagram?
  • What is being represented here?
  • What are A and B and how do their lengths contribute to your overall height calculation table?
  • What is the trapezoid shape?
Can you tell me how the data in the 3 main tables contributes to your overall height calculation table?
