Curious why didn't you just order the wheels from the factory in matching exterior paint in the first place?

It shouldn't have been a surprise that they came in silver. Right on the website when you select the Mission E Design wheels it tells you:
"Forged wheel with five-spoke design and two-tone finish in Brilliant Silver/ High Gloss Black based on the design of the Porsche Mission E concept study"

Second attempt: much better.
I took some more care in making a perfect template, that helped.

I'm getting even better at it!
Only the section with the ventil took quite some time.

Sure, why wouldn't it?
After I degreased it, it sticks very well and it'll protect the rim even better than paint.

Just wondered as with my other cars I use a wheel cleaner that is a bit corrosive to get rid of brake dust and road grime etc. Maybe the vinyl will be strong enough to handle that.

There is no brake dust on my EV.
Besides, carbon whipes off pretty easy.
It's more that hot particles burn into the vinyl when doing trackdays (which I don't).

I use a pressure cleaner to do my car, and like the fact that I can really get into the wheels with it. Not sure how well your film would hold up to the high pressure.

Like any other protection film.
Usually, with applying film on a car, it shouldn't be high-pressured cleaned.
It'll need a few days to really stick to the surface, that's normal procedure when doing a car wrap.

No problem pressure cleaning a wrap unless you're directing the spray almost parallel at the edges of the wrap. That would be the problem with wheel film.

Rims are done.
I'm very pleased with the result!
Although they're a bit brighter than the Carrara white, I think it looks great!
Besides, rims always gets dirty so eventually they'll blend in...lol.

Appreciate your ingenuity and perseverance, but my preference was the silver with your Carrera white. Agree - the white is a bit too bright.

3. The body line.
I don't like the line on the lower front door/sill.
The upper line doesn't follow the one below, looks wierd (it comes from the design of the Mission E).
