I lived in Indonesia for five years where crimes of opportunity were a common occurrence (and the size of the bribe facilitation fee was directly proportional to the size of the traffic cop's belly). The Buick minivan assigned to me during the four years I lived in China had bulletproof film on the windows (well, we were told it was bulletproof). Parabens Gabriel! Muito bonito. It seems that you are all set when it comes to protecting yourself and your family from Sao Paulo's (?) finest criminals. I would however be extremely careful on those streets with the 21 inch wheels and no spare tire on board. And another question on the windows: Can you roll any or all of them down? A colleague of mine down there had an E Class that was armored at the factory and only the driver's window went down -- and just a few inches. Enjoy your ride!

I believe the preferred wheel setup for the ambush-proof ride would be "cartel-grade run-flats". You're not going to stop and casually mount your spare tire when you're being ruthlessly pursued by vehicles spraying gunfire.

There is a belt inside the tire that keeps it in wheel even when it is empty.

If I needed to bullet proof my car, range and availability to increase that range would be a key factor.

If I needed to bullet proof my car and could afford a Taycan, I'd be looking for a new place to live/drive.

If I had to travel somewhere where I needed a bullet proof car without worrying that it stands out, perhaps the Marauder (maybe it stands out a tiny bit more than a Taycan, but you could try in in satin black for more stealth ):

Definitely Gentian Blue. The Marauder was made for it.

I'd get it PPF'ed and ceramic coated as well. Just because.

Yeah but for western EU guys like me who’ve only seen this type of stuff in Fast & Furious it’s so cool to have a testimony and user case of proper bulletproofing IRL
