My Taycan 4s is now bulletproof

Hello friends , I just turned my Taycan 4S Plus into a bulletproof car !!!
I didn't feel any difference in terms of performance, I still having 421km in range mode. (I honestly expected something around 500km when I bought the car).

So cool. I'm having a company in Utah armor my G63 to the same specifications as your Taycan. I was surprised to learn how far technology has come in terms of weight savings. As one person put it, it's the equivalent to driving around with one overweight person in the car (although evenly distributed). Curious to know how it impacts your range. Considered doing the same to my Taycan but figured I would offer up the G knowing it can easily handle the additional weight. I also opted for the electrified door handles and tack dispenser. Sounds like that might be of use in Brazil.

My range still the same. About secutiry weapons, here in Brazil is prohibited.

Im a Asset management owner.
the thing is a Porsche Taycan attracts attention from bad guys on street. It is a problem when you live in a poor country like Brazil.

it is 100% kevlar, steel only on the overlap in the glass

Your location shows Las Vegas. I haven't been there since pre-COVID, what happened to sin city that people who live there now require bulletproof vehicles? Or are you planning to do some side gigs for Brink or Loomis in your G63, or perhaps be the getaway driver for hire?

It's actually not too bad here, like any city there are parts you want to avoid. I'm going to start splitting my time between LV and San Francisco so the G63 will be my SF car. It's more to prevent smash and grabs than anything. Not planning on taking any fire from any high-power rifles.

Haven't been to San Francisco since pre-covid, but I hear crime is up, especially property crimes, so I can see why you'd want a smash-proof car, though personally I am not certain I would. Watched a video of a property crime in Seattle (same or worse than SF) where someone had some kind of a protection film on the windows, so instead the thief damaged the rest of the car trying to get in and releasing their frustration on the car body too. Perhaps a window is quicker/easier to replace than a bunch of dented body panels.

Hi Gabriel, I hear your concerns and can imagine how you feel over there. I am from Rio, lived there for 30 years and now I live in Houston, TX. I was always concerned about the street violence. Definitely painful and sad to see a wonderful city suffering like that. Your car looks nice! Congrats. I am waiting for my Taycan to late May and will post a photo here soon.
